The Infirmary Kitchen
The Infirmary had a separate kitchen. Everything possible was done to keep the sick isolated from the main community, to prevent the spread of infection. |
The kitchen could also provide hot meals and special diets as required for the sick. |
Kitchen waste was dropped through this grating to be carried away by the river. |
