The Winding Rule decides whether closed shapes one inside another should be coloured in or not. | ![]()
The red shapes are coloured using the Alternate option, that is where shapes enclosed by an even number of closed areas are coloured in. The blue shapes are coloured using Winding, that is where the direction of the enclosing paths is considered. If clockwise and anticlockwise paths are equal, the area is not filled. If they differ, it is filled.
