| Triggers | I tried to keep a record of my triggers. Chocolate, cafeine and definitely stress are factors. Everytime I thought I had it figured out something else seemed to trigger another attack and nothing made sense anymore.

| Preventions | Needless to say that I don't have any chocolate or cafeine and as far as stress is concerned I do my best but it's impossible to avoid stress completely.
After reading the bulletin board I tried walking on the treadmill when in AF and at first I converted back to NSR but eventually it didn't work anymore. I found too that sleeping on my left side can trigger AF, so I avoid sleeping that way.I have my meals at the same time everyday. |

| Current medications/side effects | 1 Adalat 60mg. XL
1 sotalol 160 m.g. HCL in morning and 80 m.g. at night
5 1/2 Coumadin or Warfarin 1 m.g.
1 Crestor 10 m.g.
3 clonazapam 0.5 m.g. to help with my anxiety
I also take Omega 3 Fish Oil, Folic Acid and Vitamin C |

| Past medications/side effects | I used to be on Amiodarone which seemed to control my AF better but the side effects were terrible.
After my by-pass I was put on so many medications that gave me bad reactions and didn't work. I can't remember all of them.
I also was on Plavix after my stroke. At that time my AFs were not too often.
After my by-pass and complications, I ended up in ICU , they gave me IV amiodarone and when I went in NSR they sent me home with amiodarone pills and put me on coumadin.
A while later I had internal bleeding. The coumadin was stopped. After a colonoscopy, they removed a large polyp which was likely the cause of my internal bleeding.I went back to taking Plavix.
When my AF became more and more often and longer and longer in duration, my doctor put me on Coumadin instead of Plavix. Strange enough my AF have been better since. |

| Future plans | I am now on a waiting list to get PVA. I was told that I was a good candidate for PVA. I am hopeful for the future. |

| Personal comments | When in AF, I feel totally exhausted, I lose my voice, I don't sleep well, I just feel lousy, I get anxious not knowing when it will start and when it will end.
Luckily so far, I've converted on my own even though they are lasting longer. |
