General healthGood
Current stateapart from A FIB my health is very good
TriggersMore than 4 nips of Alcohol in one sitting.
Caffeine
PreventionsI have kept a diary of everything I have eaten during the past 6 months, but the only obvious Triggers that I have found are the ones listed above.
Current medications/side effectsTambocor 50mg twice per day.
Slight dizziness and light headed, nothing drastic enough to affect my everyday living.
My doctor doesn't like it, but I try to keep my blood thin with garlic and light consumption of alcohol - 2 nips per day.
Past medications/side effectsAspirin, had to discontinue due to stomach problems.
History of surgeryNo surgery, but I have been treated for a bleeding Stomach Ulcer.
Future plansI am becoming convinced that the Mini-maze procedure offers the best hope to get rid of this condition once and for all. I hope to wait a couple of years until the procedure becomes established in Sydney.
Personal commentsI find AF to be like walking around with a time bomb in my chest, never certain whether today is going to be an AF day or a good day. I just wish that i could find every trigger for these events so that I could avoid them. That is the biggest mystery for me, one day there is A Fib and the next day it is gone, why?
