Personal commentsGreat site. As others have mentionned, it helps to know that others have a similar, sometimes identical history of AF, with triggers and fixes behaving the same way.

My AF events will often occur after a nap which followed a dinner meal. I have also often awaken to AF in the middle of night. I can tell that AF is on because the heart throbs are always accompanied with a stuffed nose.
HAd my first noticeable AF event in 1998. All symptons went away for 2 years, and then came back. After taking up Tai Chi in 2002, I had been AF free until a bad case of the flu seemed to have awakened the monster last January. I had stopped doing TAi Chi regularly the previous September because of torn ligaments in an ankle playing catch football.
AF has ruined this summer and fall this year with unpredictable onsets.
I suspect that stress is partly responsable for my AF condition. I lead an electronic equipmemnt manufacturing company and work is stressfull on occasions.
Future events: just went through echography (AF present)and 24 hour holter no AF at all) preparing for my decision to go through ablation procedure next winter.
Once again, I am so glad to have found this site and be able to add to the data base.
