My fitness levels plummetted through my 30's and I put a lot of weight on. I'm regaining a reasonable level of fitness now, I cycle and run fairly regularly [3x per week]and this seemed to deter PAF until recently. I'm worried now that it's getting worse, but just have to see how it goes! |

Have had full range of tests [Echo, bloods, ECG, Scans 24-hour monitor etc] 3 times since 2003 and all have concluded no underlying cause. |

| Future plans | Just gotta get on with it. I have 3 young children and a wife getting over skin cancer, although she's dealing with it better than me! So just try to keep telling myself it ain't that bad!!
Coming from an Irish/Musical upbringing alcohol/smoking and late nights have always been a big part of my social life! Trying to resist overdoing the alcohol. |

| Personal comments | This website is a great idea. It is always some comfort to know you're not alone with these things. My Cardiologists have been really good, although I do get the impression that AF and in particular PAF is regarded by the medical profession as more of a "nuisance" than a real condition! |
