Triggers	In permanent AF, but do have some triggers to worse episodes: lack of sleep or highly irregular sleep/eating pattern, unusual emotional stress. Raising arms above head for long time (as when putting up curtains). Other times I have no idea why.
Preventions	Helps when I keep a regular schedule, especially sleep. Seems to help if lie on right side rather than left to sleep. I use some energy psychology techniques when stressed (EFT, TAT) and that can help. Am playing around with mudras (hand-modes) related to breath and heart, and, oddly enough, that seems to help at times (and I don't care if it's merely placebo effect).
Current medications/side effects	Lisonopril/HCTZ 20/12.5 tabs (ACE inhibitor with diuretic for high blood pressure). Bisoprolol Fumarate 5 mg tabs (generic Zebeta, a beta-blocker for heart rate which was too high). Aspirin (regular 325 mg) as blood-thinner. Digitek 0.25 mg tabs. Synthroid 75mcg tabs (for hypothyroid). Side-effects: light cough from ACE inhibitor, easy bruising from aspirin.
Past medications/side effects	Cardiologist wants me on Coumadin (rather than aspirin), and I was briefly. Felt very odd, as if starting to lose motor control when walking. Many years ago, whatever I was on for hypertension (a calcium-channel blocker, not beta-blocker) might have been a contributing factor in depression. Was on estrogen/progesterone until recently, having been told it would be heart-protective (did not choose to take merely for menopausal symptoms). Was previously on digoxin and lanoxin, which I gather are about same as digitek.
History of surgery	No heart-related surgery. Pituitary surgery long ago (with all that implies hormone-wise), breast lesion, gallbladder, ovarian tumor -- all benign.
Future plans	Plan to read up on the relationship if any between swallowing reflex problems, abdominal pain, subscapularis muscle and related neurolymphatic and neurovascular points. And breathwork.
