Frequency of episodes | from first episode it was 3 years then about every few months |
---|
Duration of episodes | 4hrs to 24hrs |
---|
Event preceding first AF | none known I moved to different city Stress |
---|
General health | good health but I have allergies don't smoke or drink |
---|
Current state | good unless I have AF |
---|
Triggers | Possibly eating to much to late. I just wake up with it, but have many ectopics some days, but not necessarly the days I have a-fib. |
---|
Preventions | Wish I knew! I don't drink or smoke. I don't eat after 6:00 PM. |
---|
Current medications/side effects | 1 aspirin 81 mg a day I take a couple extra when in a-fib. |
---|
Past medications/side effects | While in hospital cardazem and a blood thinner. I always go home from the hospital with hives.
I was on lopressor for a while and it only made my a-fib worse. My BP is normal and I think it stressed me out thinking it was a BP med. |
---|
History of surgery | T&A , L Inguinal hernia |
---|
Future plans | I guess to live with it and hopefully it will not get worse. My doctor said I did not have to go into the hospital because I always convert by myself. If it lasts over 24 hrs and is rapid he said to go to the hospital. |
---|
Personal comments | I will try to say home take an extra aspirin, but I have a bag packed with everything I need just in case I go to the hospital. |
