| History of surgery | Last year my wife underwent PVA @Johns Hopkins by Dr. Calkins and Dr. Brinker. During the mapping procedure, the lasso catheter got tangled in her mitral valve muscles. The catheter sliced through the papillary muscles. Her mitral valve had to be replaced with a prosthesis. She suffered from inadequate post-op care, had a stroke, went into a coma, and suffered nerve and eye damage. Since then I have spoken to many others who have had unpleasant experiences there. -Dan Walter
