PreventionsAvoiding alcohol after periods of physical or emotional stress. Taking anti-acid when I feel a hint of gastronomical distress. Maintaining a regular exercise program.
Current medications/side effectsCoumadine and rythmol.
History of surgeryNone related to heart. Knee surgery 1.5 years ago, several eye surgeries.
Future plansMonitor triggers with goal of reducing or eliminating meds.
Personal commentsAfib is a scary thing. However, I believe doctors and ER's have an incorrect protocol for LAF. Generally, I convert on my own whether I go to the hospital or not, but my experience is limited to 6 or 7 episodes.
