General healthgood health
Current statefeeling good for the past 2 1/2 months w/o afib
Triggerscaffeine, sugar, fruit juices, too much fluid intake (over 32 ozs in short period) left side position, sqatting position, pulse over 130, stopping exercise abruptly, too much vitamin intake, stress, overtired, low blood sugar, high blood sugar, adrenal stimulation, mineral depletion, chocolate, coca-cola. Had some gerd before but when I stopped the above stuff it went away.
Preventionscut back on sugars, both natural and artificial STOP all caffeine sources, including all coffee(s) both caffeinated and decaffeinated, coca-cola, chocolate, tea, over-the-counter headache rememdies with caffeine. Stopped flonase rx (stiumlant). Always eat small meals with good sources of complex carbs to keep blood sugar regulated and even. Am supplementing minerals, magnesium 750mg, citracal (calcium w/ D) 315mg, potassium 198mg (and a banana a day), also 1 hawthorne berry and 1 Co Q-10. Run 3 miles 3-4 times a week. Stopped vitamin supplements altogether
Current medications/side effectsCardiologist suggested digoxin but read sources on internet about problems with this if lone afibber and have avoided. Was taking aspirin and fish oil but have stopped as episodes have now stopped.
Past medications/side effectsNone
History of surgeryNone
Future plansHope to be able to keep up the current regimine. I am now controlling the PAC's to few to none and can exercise again pretty much as before. May try a multi-vitamin again, we'll see but I experimented with one the other day and could feel the ramping up of my heart beats and I stopped it. Too much adrenal stiumlation, apparently. I think its import to both supplement minerals and stop vitamins.
Personal commentsKeep a balance between the adreno and vagal sides by not feeding the adrenals any stimulation. Keep the heart cells balanced with minerals like magnesium, calcium, potassium. Keep blood sugar regulated with a diet similar to a diabetic but not quite as extreme but avoid sugars, chocolates, coffees (all) and soda pop. Avoid vitamin supplements. Once stabilized exercize regularly but avoid strenuous exercise UNTIL you are stabilized.
Following this regimine I am free of pac's and afib now for 70 days and feeling very good.
