Past medications/side effectsHave taken Flecainide 2 X 100mg worked for about 3 weeks. Had a whole 17 days free from Afib.

Disopyramide didnt do anything at all except for the water retention.Made we feel worse if anything.

No side effects from Flecainide
History of surgeryWent in to have my Hiatus Hernia repaired, doctor told me he had cured 2 patients of AFib by repairing their Hiatus Hernias.
This operation did nothing because my Hernia was to small at 50mm.I believe it has to be above the 70mm mark.
This Dr, said it was a well known fact that large HHernias can cause AFib.
Mind u the Operation seemed to work for 9 days or so.
But all symptoms are back now even the Gerd type ones and pains in stomach which generally conincide with an attack.
Future plansEP study on Sept6th 2001 at St.Georges London to see if they can come up with anything.
Had ablation on Sep 6th at London Heart Hospital, this cured my flutter, but at the moment I am worse off, Afib every day, ectopics all day no rest from it not like before,at least I had 3 to 6 days free of this cursed ailment. Will hopefully go back for 2nd attempt once Holter Monitor readings have been looked at.
Personal commentsDont think I will ever take Amiadorone.
If this condition gets unbearable would consider the MAZE to get my life back.
Would give ablation a go if I have the correct type of arrythmia.
Would try pacemaker etc.
