Current stateNot cured, feeling OK but I had a TIA during the last Afib, no damage but heart still burns a little but better since I have been on Proton Pump inhibitor
TriggersLight alcohol use, not sure
Large dinner, not sure

For the past 3 months I changed my diet, no sugar, low carb, no alcohol, caffeine or Fried foods. Increased my green and fruit intake, still had a afib yesterday for a few hours
PreventionsBeta blocker seems to help
Reducing food portions
Eliminating spicing food
Proton Pump inhibitor
Acupuncture

over the past month I am on Ca-blocker since they have less side effects

Current medications/side effectsLosartan Potassium
Beta blocker now went over to Ca-blocker
Blood thinner
Proton Pump inhibitor

They had me on Metoprolol 50mg twice a day, I had major side effects, felt high, could not think, drive, or do computer work, after a reducing the Metoprolol to 25mg twice a day and it is manageable, still getting use to it.

The Ca-blocker is better but both cause me serious case of Acid Reflux that will not go away with all the Gastro drugs and diet modes I have tried, now I have Bretts disease.

Past medications/side effectsNone
History of surgeryLoop recorder installed under skin
Future plansNuclear Stress test next week
Personal commentsI am in good shape, exercise 2-3 times a week, I have had a low stress job for 30 years, higher stress job for the last 4 years. Loss of a 30 young nephew from cancer 4 years ago has given me great sorrow.

Low cholesterol, no heart disease in family, parents and grand parents lived into their 80's, grandmother 98!

The acid Reflux is a serious threat that comes from the Ca blockers for the Afib, so which are the less threat?
