Past medications/side effectsamiodrone (caused hyperthyroid went off it but it worked) solatol (slowed my heart rate so slow that I could not walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like i was going to faint)
History of surgery2007 was a tough year was in the hospital 8 times trying to correct my Afib and then found out I had a clogged artery, which was fixed. Did 1 pulimonary ablation, 1 abalatioin to fix flutter, 3 cardio versions on 3 different drugs. In spite of this I was able to keep up a 30-40 mile running pace.
Future plansDr. appointment on Friday 1/11/08 may try and do another ablation although the thought is a little scary but I am getting really tired of AFib
Personal commentsAtril Fibulation is a pain but I try and grind my way thru it and just learn to deal with it. So far it has not really slowed me down but it seems to be getting worse. I would definitely see an Electrophyisoligitst instead of a normal Cardiologist. That was a mistake I made and I think it really set me back for a long time.
