Future plansLoose weight and use the flecainide when I have an episode as this shortens its duration significantly. Keep off caffiene in all forms.
Personal commentsI was diagnosed with atrial cardiomyopathy when I had first episode, but this has been cured.
I had a year without an episode up to April this year (2006).
I have had PAF recently which the flecainide seemed to put a halt to in combination with exercise & an increase betablocker dose( 10mg from 5mg per day).
I think this could be due to drinking too much tea, which I am now stopping. I had already given up coffee.
